CD Cover

Front CD Cover

Back CD Cover

This is our CD cover. We realized that when measuring out the size for our CD cover we needed to crop our photo. When editing we decided that the cover looked best cropped down altogether rather than just reduce in size. The general flow of the cover fits better now and the lighting adds to the natural surroundings of the setting.

  1. I like the setting and the ideas on this CD cover but I think a different picture of Michelle in a different pose might be better suited to your genre of choice. xx

  2. I think you have a good image and I like the idea as i does attempt to challenge the idea of woman as object - I know we looked at the font but I think we need to rethink the font choice.

  3. I really like these CD covers, the background image portrays the genre, but i agree with Anna, Michelle's pose might be better suited to your genre too :)

  4. CD covers look good, the only thing I could say you could improve on was the lip synching in the music video? Other than that it all looks really professional.

  5. I really like the cd cover and the way that it challenges convention. Not too sure that the font stands out enough, the colour of it and the font type could maybe be edited?

  6. I really like how you have an image of her back on the front cover and an image of her front on the back cover, I think it works really well. I think that you should use a different font and maybe change the colour so it stands out more.

  7. I like the back to front idea because it definitely challenges convntions of female pop artists, looks really quirky and will grab the audiences attention. The setting and lighting makes it seem really fresh, and the subtle positioning of the guitar against the tree works really well. The only thing is I would change the font as it looks almsot too simple, it needs a little bit of an edge.

  8. I really like the body language of your artist. This give more of a direct mode of address by the way she's focusing her eyes at you with her hands on her hips.
The only thing i could think of improving was maybe changing your font, it looks to bubble and girly and doesn't fit in with the image and body language of your artist.

  9. Your CD Cover has a strong image of the artist who comes across as a dominant female. The central framing and costume of a black leather jacket reinforces her power. The guitar and costume represents the genre really well :)
